Paul trained at the London School of Sports Massage under Mel Cash and was awarded a BTEC and LSSM Diploma, and is a member of the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage

Paul has participated in sport all his life from his early years in athletics when he was NABC 100m hurdles champion and South Midlands Weightlifting Champion at light weight. However his life long interest has been in gymnastics where he last performed as a veteran in the World Demonstrada in Berlin.

Numerous untreated and poorly recovered injuries have fuelled his interest in sport massage therapy as a means of prolonging the sporting activities of others. "I have spent much of my sporting life suffering untreated injuried in the mistaken belief that you can work through muscle pain and discomfort and come out the other side feeling fine with no after effects. Now I realise that my sporting career would have been longer and might have delivered better results had I been advised to seek professional help to get sports injuries sorted out properly - as well as encouragement to maintain my body in prime condition as best I could".

Initally Paul provided sports massage to athletes but soon recognised the benefits of this treatment and became keen to offer sports massage to those who dont participate in sport but who still suffer with general muscular tension, stress and discomfort. In particular Paul has developed an interest in occupational injuries such as Repetative Strain Injury (SRI) which affects a wide range of occupations and trades causing pain in the arms and wrists with its associated neck and shoulder pain..

In addition to the continuing professional development requirements of ISRM membership, Paul maintains his direct involvement in competitive sport through participation at events such as part of the official massage team for the London Marathon, Fleet Half Marathon and the London Triathlon.

Although Paul is no longer a competative athlete he keeps fit through running and regular yoga.
